今日は、最近うちのお店でよく感じる“変化”についてゆるっと話してみようと思います。
■ 「新築コーディネート」って入れたら、依頼がめちゃ増えた話
Googleマップにこっそり「新築コーディネート」って入れてみたら、これが予想以上に反応良くてびっくり。
- 家を建てたばっかりの方
- マンションをリフォームした方
こういう方から
「家具の総合コーディネートお願いできます？」
っていう問い合わせがどんどん来るようになったんです。
昔は「アウトレットで安く済ませたい！」っていう人が多かったんですけど、
最近は “質” とか “雰囲気づくり” を重視する人が増えました。
これ、ほんとに嬉しい変化です。
■ ただ、その裏で…個人の家具レンタルはちょっと減ってきた
一方で、個人向けの家具レンタルは少し減り気味。
まあ理由はシンプルで、新築を建てた人は自分の家具を揃えたいからレンタルの出番がないんですよね。
以前は、
- 賃貸の仮住まい
- 子どもが小さい間の“お試し期間”
- 一人暮らしの短期利用
こういうパターンが多かったんですが、それがだんだん減ってきている感じです。
■ その代わりに増えているのが「法人レンタル」
で、今めちゃくちゃ増えているのが 法人のお客様からのレンタル依頼。
● 建築会社さんからの“展示用レンタル”
先日は豊橋・豊川で注文住宅を建てている「絆屋」さんから、
「完成披露会で家が映えるように家具を入れてほしい」
という依頼が来ました。
約4万円ちょっとで 2週間〜1ヶ月レンタルできるので、かなり喜ばれています。
家って、家具が入ると見え方がほんとに変わるんですよね。
■ 物件の短期利用や外国人実習生向けも増えてる
法人の依頼内容もいろいろで、
- 半年だけ入居する人のために家具・家電を入れたい
- 外国人実習生の3年間の生活スタートセットをレンタルしたい
こういう“期間限定の生活スペースづくり”は、購入よりレンタルのほうが断然便利みたいです。
■ 実は法人レンタルって“節税”になる
そして、多くの会社さんが興味を持つのがこれ。
レンタル → 経費にしやすい
例えば家具を1,000万円分買うと、
会計上は 8年間かけて減価償却 しないといけません。
つまり、1年で経費に入れられるのは125万円。
でもレンタルなら…
- 1000万円を2年契約したら
- 年間500万円ずつ経費にドンッと入れられる
これ、節税としてめちゃくちゃ大きいんです。
最後に気に入ったら買い取ることもできるし、
必要なくなったら返せばOK。
柔軟で使いやすいので、最近とくに注目されています。
■ オフィスの「成長スピード」にも合う
会社って人が増えたり減ったり、変化が結構早いですよね。
- いまは10人だけど、来年は20人になるかも
- だから全部買い揃えるのはリスク
- レンタルなら人数に合わせて入れ替えできる
こういう理由で、オフィス家具のレンタルを選ぶ会社も増えています。
■ まとめ：法人レンタル、これからもっと伸びます
個人レンタルは減ったけど、
法人レンタルはこれからもっと伸びる分野だなと実感しています。
- 建築会社さんの展示用
- 外国人実習生の住まい準備
- 会社の成長に合わせて柔軟に入れ替え
- 節税メリットが大きい
こういう理由がそろっているので、法人レンタルは本当におすすめです。

The Rise of Corporate Furniture Rentals — A Small Shift I’ve Been Noticing
Today, I wanted to casually share a little trend I’ve been seeing at my shop lately.
It’s something that wasn’t really happening before, but now it’s clearly on the rise:
corporate furniture rentals.
■ Adding “New Home Coordination” on Google Maps Changed Everything
A while ago, I added the keyword “new home coordination” on our Google Maps listing.
Honestly, I didn’t expect much… but the response has been huge.
Suddenly, we started getting inquiries from:
- People who just built a new house
- Families renovating their condos
And many of them asked,
“Can you help coordinate all the furniture for our new place?”
Back in the day, we mainly had customers looking for cheap used or outlet furniture.
But recently, more people are seeking quality and a certain atmosphere for their home.
And honestly, that shift has been really nice to see.
■ Meanwhile… Personal Furniture Rentals Are Slowing Down
On the other hand, rentals for individual customers have been declining a bit.
It makes sense, though —
if someone just built a new house, they want to buy furniture they love, not rent it.
We used to get a lot of:
- Temporary rentals for people in short-term apartments
- Families in a “trial period” while the kids are small
- Students or single renters needing short-term furniture
But those patterns have gradually decreased.
■ And This Is Where Corporate Rentals Come In
The interesting part is that while personal rentals are slowing down,
corporate furniture rentals are growing fast.
● Home builders and designers renting furniture for show homes
For example, we recently got a request from Kizunaya,
a home builder in the Toyohashi/Toyokawa area.
They asked us to stage a newly completed custom-built home for their open house event.
For about ¥40,000 (roughly for 2 weeks to a month),
they were able to rent a full furniture setup — and they loved it.
It’s amazing how much a house can change just by adding furniture.
■ Short-term properties and foreign trainees too
We’re seeing all kinds of corporate situations, such as:
- Companies wanting furniture/appliances for someone staying just 6 months
- Employers needing full sets for foreign trainees staying 3 years
These “limited-term living spaces” are perfect for rentals instead of buying.
■ And here’s the big one:
Corporate rentals are great for tax savings
This is honestly the part many companies get excited about.
Rental = Much smoother tax treatment
For example, if you buy ¥10,000,000 worth of furniture,
you must depreciate it over 8 years.
That means only about ¥1,250,000 can be counted as expenses each year.
But if you rent the same amount?
- A 2-year rental contract for ¥10,000,000
- Can be expensed as ¥5,000,000 per year — instantly
This makes a huge difference in taxes.
Depending on the case, companies can save ¥700,000–¥800,000 in a year.
And after the rental term, they can:
- Buy the furniture if they ended up liking it
- Or simply return it if they don’t need it anymore
Super flexible.
■ Rentals match the speed at which companies grow
Businesses grow fast — teams expand, needs change.
- 10 employees now
- 20 employees next year
Buying everything upfront can feel risky.
With rentals, companies can easily swap or add furniture as they grow.
This is a huge advantage, and many companies are starting to realize it.
■ In Summary: Corporate Rentals Are Only Going to Grow
So yes, personal rentals may be slowing down,
but corporate rentals are becoming a major opportunity.
- Show home staging
- Housing support for trainees
- Flexible setups for growing offices
- Big tax benefits
For these reasons, I think corporate furniture rentals will keep expanding.
